Otterly.AI

Otterly.AI monitors how six AI engines talk about your brand, grades your pages with a GEO audit, and mails you a weekly report, all starting at $29 per month. It carries more third-party awards than anything near its price. What it lacks is room to grow: the Lite plan caps you at 15 prompts, the jump to Standard multiplies your bill by six, and every fix it recommends lands back on your desk.

4/5 stars: nothing tracks AI search this well for $29 a month, but the plan above it costs $189 and the tool never fixes what it finds.

Every review on this site starts with the price, so here it is: Otterly.AI gets you real AI search tracking for $29 a month, and that number wins our cheapest-entry-price award without a fight. We ran it through our June and July 2026 test cycle, scored it 4/5 stars, and placed it #2 on our AI SEO software scoreboard.

The Otterly.AI homepage presenting its AI search monitoring platform with brand citation tracking across ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Google AI Overviews Otterly.AI leads with prompt tracking and citation data, the two things it does best.

Bottom line: the smartest $29 in AI search, and a spending trap the moment you need prompt number 16.

What Otterly.AI does

Otterly.AI is a Vienna-built monitoring platform used by more than 20,000 marketing professionals. You give it the prompts your buyers type into AI assistants. It reports back on whether those assistants mention you, which pages they cite, and how the tone reads.

As of July 2026, it watches six engines: ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews, Google AI Mode, Gemini, and Microsoft Copilot. Tracking spans more than 50 countries, which matters once your clients sell outside one market. One catch to note early: Gemini is a paid add-on on the cheapest plan, not a standard inclusion.

The toolkit around the tracker is bigger than the price suggests:

  • GEO Audit Engine that scans a single URL and hands back a score across more than 20 page-level signals, from schema markup to how citation-ready the copy reads
  • AI Prompt Research drawing on a pool of 10 million+ daily prompts, so you monitor questions people really ask
  • Share of AI voice benchmarking against competitor citation rates and source domains
  • Fully automated weekly reports with sentiment, competitor comparison, and content recommendations
  • A public API shipped in June 2026, a Claude Skill integration, and 101+ workflow templates in its marketplace

The award shelf is crowded for a tool this cheap. Gartner named Otterly.AI a Cool Vendor 2025 in AI marketing. G2 rated it a High Performer in the Winter 2026 Answer Engine Optimization report. The European Search Awards 2026 handed it Best AI Search Software Solution.

Pricing, as of July 2026

All figures in USD ($):

  • Lite: $29 per month, 15 prompts, Gemini costs extra
  • Standard: $189 per month, 100 prompts
  • Pro: $989 per month, 1,000 prompts
  • Enterprise: custom, adds SSO, a quarterly GEO Health Check, and dedicated onboarding

Every plan opens with a 14-day free trial and asks for no credit card. Full marks for that.

Now read the gap between line one and line two again. There is no middle tier. The day 15 prompts stops being enough, and for most brands that day comes fast, your only move is a 6.5x price increase to $189. Fifteen prompts covers one product in one market. Add a second product line or a second country and you are shopping in the Standard bracket whether you planned to or not.

Bottom line: price the $189 tier into your budget from day one. The $29 tier is a proving ground, not a home.

Where your money works hard

Monitoring is the whole job here, and Otterly.AI does it properly. During our test cycle the prompt runs stayed consistent, the weekly reports arrived without babysitting, and the GEO audit returned fixes specific enough to hand a junior marketer. The prompt research pool means you track real buyer questions instead of guessing, and the new API lets a small agency feed citation data into its own client reporting without an enterprise contract.

Third-party recognition seals it. When Gartner, G2, and the European Search Awards all point at the same $29 tool, the risk of a bad purchase is about as low as this category gets.

Where your money leaks

Three problems cost Otterly.AI its fifth star:

  1. Lite is a viewing window. Competitive benchmarking dashboards and the deeper workflows only exist from Standard up. On $29 you mostly watch your own mentions.
  2. Engine blind spots. There is no native Claude or Meta AI tracking at any price. If your audience asks those assistants for recommendations, you fly blind there.
  3. You are the execution layer. Otterly.AI diagnoses. It does not treat. Every content fix, schema change, and outreach task it surfaces goes on your to-do list, and your hours are the most expensive line in any budget.

The Temso math

Our #1 pick, Temso AI, starts at $89 per month as of July 2026, three times Otterly’s entry price. The gap closes fast when you count what ships in the box. Temso Starter carries 50 prompts across three AI models, five content pieces a month, and audits on 10,000 pages, with no cap anywhere on projects, seats, or recommendations. It collects engine data from real user interfaces instead of APIs, throws in crawler analytics plus link and mention outreach, and an agent inside the platform will implement the fixes instead of leaving them with you. Yearly billing trims 15% off.

At the next rung the choice gets simple. Otterly Standard: $189 for 100 monitored prompts. Temso Growth: $199 for 150 prompts on every engine it covers, 10 content pieces, and 100,000 audited pages. Ten dollars separates a report from a report plus the work. Our scoring formula for both sits on the methodology page.

Bottom line: under $50 a month, Otterly.AI is unbeatable. At $189, it competes with platforms that also do the fixing, and loses.

Verdict: 4/5 stars

Otterly.AI earns its 4/5 stars as the entry ticket to AI search visibility. The tracking is trustworthy, the audit output is genuinely usable, and the free 14-day trial at otterly.ai costs you nothing but an email address. Buy it when budget is tight and proof is the goal. Move up the scoreboard when you need one bill that covers watching, writing, and fixing.
