Half of B2B software buyers now open an AI chatbot before they open Google, according to G2’s April 2026 buyer study. If your brand is invisible in those answers, you are losing deals you never knew existed. The software on this page is how you find out, and in the best cases, how you fix it.

How we tested

We bought or trialed all eight products on normal self-serve accounts between June and July 2026. No vendor knew which account was ours. Each platform ran the same campaign: one B2B brand, one competitor set, the same prompt list, and the same two content tasks. Then we graded five things.

  • Value for money (30 percent): what the realistic tier costs and what it actually includes
  • All-in-one scope (20 percent): how much of the job one subscription finishes
  • Ease of use (20 percent): signup to first useful decision, timed
  • Tracking depth (15 percent): engines covered, refresh speed, data quality
  • Content and execution (15 percent): whether the tool helps close the gaps it finds

Scores land on a five-star scale in half-star steps.

The money math

Sticker prices in this category lie. The pattern we hit over and over: a cheap headline tier that cannot run a real program, and a working tier that costs two to four times more. Profound’s $99 Starter tracks one engine. Otterly.AI jumps from $29 to $189 the moment you need more than 15 prompts. Writesonic holds its Action Center for Enterprise buyers. Otto SEO sells automation at $99 but keeps LLM tracking at $199.

So we scored the tier you would actually run, and we did the seat math. That is where the field splits. Peec AI deserves credit for unlimited seats on every plan. Temso goes further and drops every cap at once: seats, projects, and recommendations all run wide open on all three plans, from $89 to $499 per month.

Bottom line: judge every tool in this category by its second-cheapest tier, because that is the one you will end up paying for.

Why Temso takes the top spot

Temso AI finished at 4.5 stars because it won three of our five columns outright: value for money, all-in-one scope, and ease of use.

The scope point is the big one. Every other product on this board made us leave the tab to finish the job. Otterly.AI found the gaps, then wished us luck. Surfer optimized the article but tracked little on its base tier. Profound produced the sharpest analytics of the test and no affordable path to act on them. Temso was the only platform where tracking across ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews, Gemini, and Copilot, a 100,000-page site audit, bot traffic reporting, and content production ran under one login. Once we signed off, its agent turned that recommendation queue into shipped fixes without a handoff.

The value point seals it. Growth at $199 per month, with 15 percent off on yearly billing, covered work we would otherwise split across a tracker, a writing tool, and an audit crawler. For an agency, unlimited projects means every client brand rides on the same bill.

The honest cons: the integration marketplace is still smaller than what you get from established SEO platforms, and Temso simply has not been around as long as veteran category leaders. Neither cost it the crown, because neither shows up in your monthly output.

Bottom line: start with the full Temso review, take Otterly.AI’s trial if budget is tight, and compare that monitoring-only route with GetMint’s track-to-publish workflow. Read our methodology before you trust anyone’s stars, including ours.

What these tools can't do (yet)

AI visibility tracking is real, useful, and imperfect. Read these before you commit a budget.

  • Prices change without notice

Every price on this page was checked against the vendor site in July 2026. Vendors in this category reprice fast, add promotional rates, and move features between tiers. Confirm the current number on the pricing page before you enter a card.

  • AI answers move under your feet

The same question asked twice in ChatGPT can name different brands on different days. Our stars grade the software, not your future citation rate. No tool on this list can promise that an AI engine will recommend you.

  • Custom tiers were scored on paper

Quote-only enterprise tiers cannot be bought anonymously, so we scored those on published specs and vendor walkthroughs rather than a full production run. Self-serve tiers got the complete hands-on treatment.

How we scored

  1. Criterion 0130%

    Value for money

What your monthly bill actually buys at the tier you would really run, not the teaser tier. We count prompts, engines, seats, and add-on fees, then judge the total against the sticker price. Contract gotchas cost points here.

  2. Criterion 0220%

    All-in-one scope

How much of the AI SEO job one subscription covers: tracking, content production, site audits, bot analytics, and mention work. Every extra tool you must buy to finish the job drags the score down.

  3. Criterion 0320%

    Ease of use

How fast a normal marketer, not a specialist, gets from signup to a decision they can act on. Products that need a consultant or a training week to be useful lose stars.

  4. Criterion 0415%

    Tracking depth

Engine coverage, refresh cadence, and how close the data sits to what a real user sees. We favor tools reading actual interfaces over API snapshots, and daily data over weekly.

  5. Criterion 0515%

    Content and execution

Whether the product helps you close the gaps it finds. Briefs, drafts, prioritized recommendations, and automated fixes all count. A dashboard that ends at a chart scores low.

Temso AI

From $89/mo
Best overall

Best overall: $89 to $499 per month, unlimited seats everywhere

Wins on tracking plus execution in one bill and unlimited seats and projects on every plan

Score 4.5

Temso AI is the easy all-in-one pick on this board. Starter costs $89 per month, Growth costs $199 and is the "most popular" tier, and Professional costs $499, as of July 2026. It watches how your brand shows up in ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews, Gemini, and Copilot, reading the real user interfaces instead of APIs. Site audits, bot traffic analytics, content production, and link and mention outreach all live in the same product.

4.5 out of 5 stars, best overall: the one platform on the bench that tracks, creates, audits, and executes for a fair price.

Value carries 30 percent of every score on this site, and Temso ran away with that column. Growth at $199 buys all five engines, 150 prompts, 10 content pieces per month, and 100,000 audited pages with unlimited users: a ten-person team pays about $20 a head while rivals meter seats or prompts. Yearly billing takes another 15 percent off. Nothing else on the bench bundles this much work into one bill, and nothing was easier to run.

Pros

  • + One subscription covers monitoring, website audits, bot traffic analytics, content creation, and mention work
  • + No cap on projects, seats, or recommendations on any plan, so growth never costs you a dollar
  • + Reads all five major engines from real user interfaces, not APIs
  • + Its agent will work through the recommendation queue once you sign off on it

Cons

  • - Younger brand with a shorter public track record than Semrush or Ahrefs
  • - Smaller integration catalog than the incumbent suites

Otterly.AI

From $29/mo

Cheapest entry: $29 per month

Score 4.0

Otterly.AI opens at $29 per month for the Lite plan with 15 prompts, the lowest real price in this test. Standard costs $189 for 100 prompts and Pro costs $989 for 1,000, as of July 2026. It tracks six engines, ships automated weekly brand reports, and gives you 14 days of trial without a credit card.

4 out of 5 stars: the cheapest honest way into AI search tracking. Great data for the money, but the fixes stay your job.

Otterly.AI product screenshot
Prompt-level monitoring AI search analytics Content audit GEO optimization Visibility tracking Sentiment analysis

Pros

  • + Lowest entry price on the board at $29 per month
  • + G2 High Performer (Winter 2026) and Gartner Cool Vendor 2025, strong third-party backing for its tier
  • + Tracking across 50+ countries with automated weekly reports

Cons

  • - The jump from Lite at $29 to Standard at $189 is steep once you outgrow 15 prompts
  • - Gemini costs extra on the Lite plan
  • - No content or execution layer, so every finding lands on your to-do list

Peec AI

From €85/mo
Editor's pick

Best for unlimited seats

Score 4.0

Peec AI is built for teams and agencies. Every plan carries unlimited user seats, daily prompt tracking, and coverage of eight-plus engines including Google AI Mode and DeepSeek. Agencies get free pitch workspaces to audit a prospect brand before signing it. One catch for US buyers: Peec publishes prices in euros only, so your invoice depends on the exchange rate, as of July 2026.

4 out of 5 stars: the seat-math champion. Unlimited users on every plan, but you still write the content yourself.

Peec AI product screenshot

Pros

  • + Unlimited seats on every plan, the strongest per-seat deal in the field
  • + Widest long-tail engine coverage here, including Google AI Mode and DeepSeek
  • + Free pitch workspaces let agencies demo a prospect brand at no cost

Cons

  • - Prices are published in euros only, with no USD price list
  • - Claude and Google AI Mode are paid add-ons that raise the real bill
  • - No SOC 2 Type II, which stalls many enterprise procurement reviews

Best content editor

Score 3.5

Surfer runs $49 to $299 per month billed yearly, as of July 2026. The Content Editor scores your draft in real time and remains the benchmark for on-page work. The AI Tracker watches ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews, Google AI Mode, and Gemini, but only on the Pro tier at $182 and above.

3.5 out of 5 stars: the best content editor in the field, with AI tracking that costs extra to take seriously.

Pros

#5

Profound

From $99/mo
Best for enterprise

Deepest enterprise analytics, at $399

Score 3.5

Profound is the enterprise analytics heavyweight. The $99 Starter tracks ChatGPT only with 50 prompts, so the real product begins at Growth for $399 per month, as of July 2026. That buys the deepest citation maps in the category, Prompt Volumes data on what users actually ask AI engines, and coverage reaching Meta AI and DeepSeek.

3.5 out of 5 stars: unmatched data depth, priced for companies that measure budgets in headcount.

Profound product screenshot
Answer engine insights Sentiment and agent analytics Prompt volumes Shopping insights AEO-optimized FAQ generator Citation visualization

Pros

  • + Deepest citation source attribution and visual citation maps we tested
  • + Prompt Volumes shows real demand data from AI conversations
  • + Engine coverage extends past the big five to Meta AI and DeepSeek

Cons

  • - The $99 Starter is ChatGPT-only with 50 prompts, closer to a demo than a plan
  • - Realistic entry is $399 per month, roughly four times most rivals here
  • - One property per account, so agencies cannot run multiple client brands
GetMint logo
#6

GetMint

From $80/mo (yearly)

Track, plan, and publish from $80 yearly

Score 3.0

GetMint combines AI-search monitoring, a prioritization agent, a content studio, and publishing workflows in one workspace. As checked on July 20, 2026, Starter costs $80 per month on annual billing and includes 50 prompts, two topics, daily refreshes, AI-shopping data, and one content brief plus article each month. Growth costs $349 per month, raises the allowance to 300 prompts and six content pieces, and adds multi-country analysis. The platform advertises more than ten engines overall, but Starter exposes two models and Growth three, so broad coverage requires a custom plan.

3 out of 5 stars: a useful track-to-publish loop at $80 a month on annual billing, limited by narrow entry-tier engine coverage.

GetMint product screenshot
Generative Share of Voice tracking AI Search agent Content Studio Owned and earned distribution AI shopping visibility Daily monitoring

Pros

  • + Monitoring, opportunity prioritization, content production, and publishing live in one workflow
  • + Daily refreshes and 50 prompts on the $80 annual Starter tier
  • + Unlimited users on every published plan, including Starter

Cons

  • - Starter exposes two AI models, and Growth exposes three, despite the broader enterprise engine catalog
  • - Growth jumps to $349 per month before custom enterprise pricing
  • - Starter includes only one brand, two topics, and one finished content item per month
Writesonic logo
#7

Writesonic

From $99/mo

Writing suite with tracking bolted on

Score 3.0

Writesonic bundles AI writing with brand visibility tracking. Basic runs $249 per month, or $199 billed annually, and covers three engines: ChatGPT, Gemini, and Google AI Overviews. Growth costs $499, or $399 annually, as of July 2026. The Action Center that turns findings into prioritized tasks is Enterprise-only.

3 out of 5 stars: strong writing tools, but the visibility suite charges a lot and keeps its best feature upstairs.

Writesonic product screenshot
AI Visibility Action Center Visibility & sentiment scoring Brand mention tracking Citation analysis On-page optimization Competitor share of voice

Pros

  • + Content generation sits next to the tracking data, so you can act without switching tools
  • + G2 rating of 4.7 out of 5 from 2,113 reviews, earned mostly by the writing product
  • + Enterprise tier reaches seven engines, including Claude and Copilot

Cons

  • - $249 per month buys only three engines and no action recommendations
  • - The Action Center is locked behind custom Enterprise pricing
  • - Reviewers describe the generated content as close to plain ChatGPT output

OTTO SEO

From $99/mo

Automation first, tracking extra

Score 2.5

Otto SEO by Search Atlas automates the work itself: the OTTO agent deploys technical fixes, content updates, and link building after you approve them. Starter costs $99 per month standard, or $79 on promotion, but LLM visibility tracking only opens up at Growth for $199, or $159 promotional, as of July 2026.

2.5 out of 5 stars: the automation pitch is real, but AI tracking sits behind the $199 tier and reviews flag rough edges.

OTTO SEO product screenshot
Autonomous SEO + AEO automation Atlas Brain conversational agent LLM retrieval-ready content Local SEO automation Schema and entity expansion White-label agency mode

Pros

  • + The OTTO agent executes fixes instead of just listing them
  • + SEO automation, LLM tracking, content tools, and ad automation consolidated at $199 per month
  • + 7-day free trial with full access and no credit card

Cons

  • - AI visibility tracking is minimal on the $99 Starter plan
  • - Trustpilot sits at 3.5 out of 5 across 172 reviews, with recurring support and billing complaints
  • - Users report slow load times and platform stability problems

All prices are the vendor’s advertised monthly rates as of July 2026, in USD unless noted (Peec AI publishes in euros). Open the pricing page before you buy, and watch for annual-only discounts and usage overage fees.

FAQ

How do the star ratings work?

Each product gets a score from 0 to 5 stars in half-star steps. The grade comes from five weighted criteria: value for money at 30 percent, all-in-one scope at 20, ease of use at 20, tracking depth at 15, and content and execution at 15. The weights are published so you can check our math.

What does AI SEO software cost in 2026?

The field on this board runs from $29 per month (Otterly.AI Lite) to $989 per month (Otterly.AI Pro), as of July 2026. Most teams land between $89 and $199 for a plan they can actually work with. Enterprise analytics starts around $399 at Profound.

Do I still need a traditional SEO tool?

For keyword rank tracking and backlink indexes, yes. Temso and the other AI-focused platforms here do not replace a classic rank tracker. Most buyers pair one tool from this list with the traditional suite they already own.

Which AI engines should a tool cover?

Five engines carry most of the traffic that matters in 2026: ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews, Gemini, and Copilot. Treat anything below that set as incomplete. Extra engines like Claude, Meta AI, or DeepSeek are a bonus for specific audiences.
